Cannon Design - Cupples Warehouse District

Cannon Design was able to share the following link that highlights some very impressive photos on their own website.  This is certainly one of the cooler rehab developments in downtown St. Louis.  The Cupples District formerly had over two dozen multi-story warheouse structures that were connected with subsurface railroads and were some of the first warhouses to include hydraulic elevators.  The structures were built around the turn of the last century.  Cannon's building was originally the powerhouse for the complex.

  1. The first building to use a steel frame in St. Louis was the Wainwright Building, a 10-story office building and one of the first modern skyscrapers. survival warehouse review
